I was hesitant about sending my passport and visa application, to an Embassy in DC, as it did not* answer its phones and did not* have voice mail. I worried that I would not be able to follow up on my visa application by phone, as I live out of state. I submitted my online order on a Sunday, fedexed it on Monday, and received my passport with visa by Thursday.
